Resident Opera Artists

Pine Mountain Music Festival (PMMF) was founded in 1991 and produces a season of opera, symphony and chamber music performances during June and July each summer. The Festival is located near Lake Superior in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, an area renowned for natural beauty and outdoor recreational activities. The PMMF has gained national attention in recent years and attracts top professional artists who are drawn to its beautiful venues and reputation for producing performances of high quality.

Established in 1998, the PMMF Resident Opera Artist Program has in the past programmed Mozart's Così fan tutte and Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music, under the direction of Program Director Lucy Thrasher (Voice/Opera Faculty, Concordia College, MN) and Artistic Director Joshua Major (Opera Director, University of Michigan).

The Resident Opera Artists program is not offered as a part of the 2016 festival. We anticipate continuing the program in the future. Stay connected with us for more information.
